Senegal visa policy offers several types of visa and travel authorization that the travelers can choose from, in accordance with their travel purpose, to enter the Republic of Senegal. The travelers can apply for short-term as well as long-term visas. Short-term visas include the tourist visa available to foreigners who want to visit for leisure purposes. Visa on arrival or eVisa is also available for the same. A business visa is available for those who want to visit for business purposes.

Categories of Entry Visas/Permits to Senegal:
Tourist e-visa
  • Granted for a shorter period of time for the purposes of tourism, sightseeing, or visiting relatives and friends. This can be a single entry or a multiple entry visa with 90-day validity, that allows for no business activities whatsoever.

Business e-visa
  • Foreign nationals desiring entry into Senegal for short-term business activities such as negotiating business contracts, attending conferences, business meetings, training seminars, or developing professional contacts for business purposes. It is a single entry visa valid for a stay of 90-days and obtained on arrival.

Student or Research Visas
  • The Senegal Student Visa is designed for international students admitted to educational institutions in Senegal. This visa is tailored for those engaging in full-time academic programs, including courses and research.

Visa on Arrival
  • An electronic visa that can be obtained online to travel to the Republic of Senegal for the purpose of tourism, leisure, cultural events, sports events, and other forms of recreation. Citizens of all other countries except Hong Kong, British Nationals (overseas), Kosovo, Macao, and Yemen may obtain a visa on arrival for a stay of up to a month.
Requirements for Entry Visas/Permits to Senegal:

The visas and permits have different requirements regarding forms and documents. There are some general requirements, but there are also visa-specific forms.

  1. Passport: Your passport must be machine readable and also must. be valid for the next six months and have at least one blank visa page.
  2. Photographs: You must provide one color, passport-type photograph taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality photo paper
  3. Business Cover Letter: All letters must be printed on official company letterhead
  4. Letter of Invitation: You must provide a letter of invitation from the organization or entity that you are visiting.
  5. Proof of Travel Arrangements: You must provide proof of travel arrangements for the duration of your trip. Include a copy of an itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round trip travel and entry and exit dates for your destination
  6. Financial Means: Bank statements or a sponsor letter to prove you can support yourself during your stay.
  7. Vaccination Certificate: You must provide a copy of your Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
  8. Documents Required for Minors & Parental Consent: Applicants twenty and younger traveling without parents must submit a notarized parental authorization form from both parents.
  9. Hotel Confirmation: You must provide a confirmation of your hotel accommodations.
  10. Copy of Return Air ticket
  11. Valid passport with 6 months validity and blank pages
  12. Provide a copy of valid work or residence permit’s approval from origin country immigration as well as endorsed on the passport
