Categories of Entry Visas/Permits to Burkina Faso:
Tourist e-visa
- Tourist visa allows foreign travellers to visit Bukina Faso or participate, upon invitation, in meetings, fairs, seminars or conferences.
Business e-visa
- For short-term business activities such as negotiating business contracts, attending conferences, business meetings, training seminars, or developing professional contacts for business purposes.
Express Visa
- This visa is issued in situations where Ghana does not have a mission or consulate in the applicant’s country of origin, or where the individual needs to enter Ghana for an emergency assignment.
Conference / Studies / Training / Visit visa
- Designed for international students admitted to educational institutions in Burkina Faso. This visa is tailored for those engaging in full-time academic programs, including courses and research.
Cooperation Visa
- A multiple entries visa issued in the context of bilateral or multilateral international relations. Members of Government, state officials, administration executives to complete missions and official visits on the Burkinabe territory.
Business e-visa

Requirements for Entry Visas/Permits to Burkina Faso:
The visas and permits have different requirements regarding forms and documents. There are some general requirements, but there are also visa-specific forms.
Applicant for a short stay visa must provide the following documents
- Passport: Your passport must be machine readable and also must. be valid for the next six months and have at least one blank visa page.
- Two (02) recent identity photos in color on a white background format 3.5 x 4.5 cm
- Proof of the reason for staying in Burkina Faso
- A medical examination certificate attesting that the applicant is not suffering from a contagious disease
- A health insurance certificate covering the period of stay
- Stamp duty payment receipt
- Passport: Your passport must be machine readable and also must. be valid for the next six months and have at least one blank visa page.
- Two (02) recent identity photos in color on a white background format 3.5 x 4.5 cm
